Agony of Indian Girl against conservative parents
Living in a country like India, it is not unusual for people to have an orthodox and traditional thinking. The most adverse effects are on the young Indian girls who have to face many challenges against the conventional thinking of their parents.
First of all, being born a girl in India is not considered prosperous. They are held responsible for every misfortune their families have to suffer. In this way, many girls are brought up with low self-esteem and a lack in confidence.
The basic problem with such orthodox parents is that they do not have faith in their daughters which end up in bringing up many misconceptions. They do not believe that their girls can make correct decisions and are often not given many things which they desire. Their dreams are not cared of and unfortunately this finishes all their wishes.
Many parents don’t allow their girls to have a respectable education and thus build a wall between them and the society. The girls are not able to opt for a career of their choice. Such girls just remain soulless puppets in the hands of their orthodox parents.
The major hurdle that the girls face is the connection between them and their parents. It is very crucial for a young child to be correctly guided to handle all the difficult situations. The day-to –day issues are not discussed at home. Often the parents don’t believe their girls to be mature enough and hesitate in conversing about the various problems of the teenagers. This gives result to a huge generation gap between the parents and the daughters.
The girls are not given much freedom comparative to boys. They are not allowed to make their friends. Every action of them is checked and pointed. They are not allowed to talk to boys. Many of these things make the girls arrogant and this brings up the feeling of hatred against their parents.
Considering all these challenges it is not easy to live life, but the real victory a girl can achieve is to overcome all the pebbles that come in her path.
