And when asked as to Why You took those names then among a plethora of reasons one would surely be “THEY WERE GREAT LEADERS”.
Let me ask You one question,”Why any tom dick and harry’s name is not taken in the same breath as that of these Great People?What made these people so Special?How did they acquire that Charisma and Panache that made them Immortal?
Well,Friends they had in them the Effective Leadership Skills which made them lead the masses.Anyone aspiring to be a leader must have some qualities and skills which make them stand apart and above everyone else.
Here,we are discussing The Must(s) to be a leader.
Whenever You see that a job is hung and it is important to Your organisation,Never think that “Its not my job,Why should I do it?”.Take initiative and get it done.Leaders are the first one up for the job.Gear up and take the challenge put up to You.
Never ever shrug off from uphill tasks.Flex Your arms and broaden Your chest and say TRY ME.I am sure this confidence will rub on Your sub-ordinate as well.
Be a part of the solution.Deliver answers to the problem with a rational,practical and logical approach.Your Decision Making ability will go a long way in Your path to glory.
4.CO-OPERATION AND ADAPTABILITY
There is no One-Man army out here.You must have a sense of co-operation and should adjust into the group seamlessly.Work together for Your organisation.
5.SELF MOTIVATION AND ASSERTIVENESS
Take failure as an extra source of motivation.Be a Braveheart and Go back stronger and well prepared.Stay calm and assertive at times of adversity.Motivate Your juniors and do not let the team crumble in pressure.
Whenever You go as a delegate,Convince the party with Your Gift of Gab.Make them realise that You are the best in the Business.You must have those Communication and Negotiation skills so that You and Your organisation taste success each and every time.
Take the task with full responsibility and accountability.Deliver the goal with desired standàrds.Also stand up for Yours as well as Your team’s actions.
It is one of the most important aspect of leadership.It is Your responsibility to get the job done in time.So,You should set smaller goals with specific time limit and achieve the desired thing without arbit delay.
Sky Should be the Limit for You.That doesnt mean You have to be harsh and demanding.But,You should have añ insatiable desire to achieve perfection.Your staff will learn the same from You which will be an asset for Your organisation.
10.BE A GOOD LISTENER
Leave your ego behind and take the suggestions in good spirit.Remember,Learning is a life long process and we learn from a child as well.
11.HONESTY And SINCERITY
Apart from You and God,no-one knows if You are doing Your work in good spirits or not.So,take it in a way that the work has to be done in the best possible way so that You can go to bed with satisfaction with Your effort.
Think Out of the Box and give something new and unconventional to the organisation.It inspires You to contribute more and appreciation always gets Your confidence a notch higher.
13.BE FLEXIBLE And HUMBLE
As You know that The stiffer gets broken easily,its better to make Your rules in harmony with Your staff and goals.Make yourself Approachable and allow others to come up to You with their problems.Give them the necessary support and make them feel at home.
14.AN EYE ON LONG TERM GOALS
Always maintain a balance between Fast and Reliable productivity of Your goals.Your far sightedness will always be an asset to Your organisation.You should always keep the long term effects in Your notice so that You are always prepared for the unexpected.
Even animals love praise.So,You cant blame Humans for their thirst for Appreciation.
So,Give a pat on the back to Your colleagues and Juniors at success.Reward them and celebrate with aplomb.This increases Camrarderie and it results in great harmony in Your organisation.So,ofcourse it will result into better outputs.
Friends,Leaders are not those who do different things.They do the things Differently.One needs to work hard and get in depth of the task given.Then only one can devise of something new and productive.Keep Working hard and as they say PRACTICE MAKES A MAN PERFECT.So achieve Perfection.Be a Leader and You will make the world Your oyster.
