Why is it important to have a great personality and how to transform it?

A great personality is a way to a million hearts and also a million dollars. It takes years to achieve an amazing personality and the people we idolize today have worked for decades to come to where they are today.

I’m going to briefly list a few things that can affect your personality development which might help you to get a clearer insight on what changes to make.

  • Your parents and their personality

  • The group of people you hang out with

  • The type of societal environment you live in

  • The stuff you listen to

  • The kind of stuff you see

  • Your past

  • Your present life scenario

  • And the way you think 

All these things affect a very big part of your personality. 90% of your personality is made of the above mentioned list. So if you have any negative stuff going on in these areas, you have to immediately stop it. Like suppose you live in a bad neighborhood, shift because it affects the way you think and slowly seeping into your subconscious, becomes your personality. 

So how to change your personality? Well here are a few points that will help you decide your course.

  1. You need to first analyze the above points and see if there are any negative factors included. For instance, if you’re the smartest person in the room, it’s time to be in a room full of people smarter than you.

  2. Learn a few body language tricks that’ll make you seem more approachable, be it a for a job or be it by the opposite sex.

  3. If you think you need to change the way you think, read, listen and see positive things. If you think you’re considering the worst case scenario for everything, try avoiding bad news like a terrorist attack. Instead, try watching an episode of friends or a Charlie Chaplin movie.

  4. Ask your colleagues, friends or family members to each write down one annoying habit that you have and then try to change that habit. Putting a deadline helps to achieve goals faster.

  5. Practicing self hypnosis can help a lot better and can show results a lot faster. It’s very easy and tutorials are available all over YouTube.

  6. Your habits need to change. If you want a greater personality than you already have, make changes in your habits. Wake up a little earlier, go for that run, stop procrastinating, be nice to people. Clusters of habits are what a personality is made of.

  7. Let go of that ugly past. Your past looks ugly just because your present is beautiful and better. So let go of it and learn to live in the present. That will definitely lower the crankiness if you have any.

  8. The University Of London has said that it takes a total of 66 days to install a new habit. So, don’t just practice your new regime for a day or two, a week or two. It has to be 66 days.
