Looking at a beautiful young woman, one cannot resist admiring or appreciating her. People perceive that the first and most “important” quality a woman is supposed to attain is beauty. A woman who is beautiful is considered to have everything, a human being can desire for. However, behind all this beauty lies the bitter truth of the insecurity of these beautiful women. They are insecure internally as well as externally.
When a beautiful girl is born, she grows up receiving all the compliments from her family and friends. She is judged always on her looks keeping apart all the other good qualities she possesses. Therefore, a feeling of insecurity naturally develops from within.
As a result of everyone recognizing them for their beauty, these beautiful women have such a high standard to abide by that they constantly work a lot to maintain it. From counting your caloric intake to stay slender, forcing yourself to hit the gym when you’re dead tired, weekly nail touch ups and two hour preparation before stepping out of the house…it’s a great deal of work.
Beautiful women tend to be perfectionists who, even if they’re aware they’re beautiful, have this deep insecurity that they need to stay in control and maintain that image.
Apart from this inner insecurity, the beauty of a woman has to battle against some devil minds of our society. She has the attention of almost everyone at all the places. With this come all the bad things related to her beauty. One of them is being hated by the girls who are less attractive than her. At work, she is given special job positions just for being harassed and used. She has to bear the abuses and violence of the society. Daily we hear the news of rape cases for which these women are an easy target. Moreover, it is not safe for a beautiful
woman to share her pictures on the internet. The pictures and the profile are often misused which ruins whole of the life of a woman.
Considering all these factors, one is often forced to think whether being born as beautiful and pretty for a woman is a boon or a bane living in this Indian society.
