How to make everyday feel like a weekend?
Well, if you’re surfing the net on this topic, it’s pretty obvious that you don’t like your job or the work that you do to earn a living. Worry not my friend, you’ve come to the right place where you can spend each day feeling like its weekend and no, you don’t have to quit your job or shut down your business!
Here are some tips and tricks to make everyday as fun as the weekends are.
1) What makes the weekends so special?
Just think about it. What is it about the weekends that makes them so special and relaxing while the other 5 days of the week go by, living in stress and under the rising tower of deadlines to fulfill?
Is it the family time that makes you feel younger during the weekends? Or maybe it’s the time that you spend with your friends having beer in a club. Find out that one thing that you do differently on the weekends that make you so damn excited when Fridays finally arrive.
2) Give time to yourself
Have you wondered what it would feel like to just once sit around and watch your favorite shows with nothing to worry about? That’s because you aren’t giving time to yourself and the things that you love to do. On weekends, you either chill out in your living room eating all the junk available or going crazy over the game with your friends. Do it everyday. Plan a new hobby everyday that you would otherwise do on a weekend and follow through. Give time to yourself to think or gossip away with your spouse about your dream world.
3) Find what you love about your work
Whatever it is that you’re doing right now definitely has that element that attracted you to do it. You don’t like your work now because you seem to have forgotten the main aim behind choosing the career that you have. Find it, reestablish it and bring it into your work again.
Yes, I know this sounds bizarre and does not fit in. But, it’s scientifically proven that working out everyday at the start of your day leads to lower levels of stress, something that we seem to experience only on weekends. Have a full blown cardio workout or have a calm yoga meltdown, just workout. Because that will make you feel so much more enthusiastic and alive that you’ll take on your day with a new determination.
5) Change how things work daily
This one seems pretty easy, especially because all you have to do is plan your daily routine a bit differently. Add a little bit spice to the work you do. Make it fun! For example, blast on some of your favorite songs and get started with those terribly boring household chores. Do a little twirl or a little hop on the bass and sing along!
I’m pretty sure your week will become so much more exciting than your weekend and you’ll be soon looking forward to your week! Happy week to you!
