The Power Of Paradigm
Let’s just first understand the meaning of paradigm. Now you may have heard it in a lot of plays, in a lot of contexts and through a lot of people. A paradigm is a set of habits that basically- almost literally- define the way you live on a day to day basis. These habits or patterns of behavior are not what you’ve developed over decades. They are something that you’ve copied or got from the people surrounding you, or even from the environment surrounding you.
For instance, the way you talk like your favorite character from a movie or a TV series, that’s a paradigm.
Paradigms have a powerful impact on the type of life you’ve led or the present life and in some cases, it also defines how your future is going to be. There are two types of paradigms that affect a human thinking pattern- positive and negative.
Everyone has a set of positive as well as negative paradigms. That is a reason why we react to the similar situations differently than the person next to us. However, people who have an upward graph of life are the ones with a stronger set of positive paradigms and similarly, people with negative paradigms have a downward graph.
Tracing the paradigms is pretty difficult as it happens unconsciously and turns into a habit over a period of time. However, luckily, we can definitely shift them from negative to positive. This is a great tactic used by leading success tycoons for their employees that I’m about to share.
Now, how do we shift our paradigms from negative to positive? Well, we don’t exactly shift. We rewire our brain to follow the positive paradigms by reading, watching, listening and doing as many positive things as we possibly can. This will eventually delete the negative paradigms from your brain and in turn installing a new set of paradigms that are positive.
A lot of people complain about how they’ve been doing everything they can to be successful! Well, I have to say, change your paradigms as they might be playing a vital role in blocking your pathway to success.
The power of paradigms is beyond imagination and cannot be limited by words. You have to experience it to believe it. People have gone from being broke to billionaires and vice versa. The most contributing factors? – paradigms, habits and the way of thinking.
Change your paradigms and you automatically end up changing the way you think, walk, talk and act. You need to do the ‘stay positive ritual’ for 66 days non stop. Not a single break. Why? Because it has been scientifically proven by The University Of London that it takes a period of 66 days to install a new habit and demolish the old one. So go on and set some amazing rules for yourselves. Read the autobiographies of your heroes. Listen to their speeches. Follow their footsteps. Take some productive action and make vital change!
