Smart Sidhu with S.M.A.R.T

When I was growing up I always wanted to be someone. Now I realize I should have been more specific.”
Lily Tomlin

This saying describes it all. We are here to guide you in life, make you realize your specific goals and help achieve them.

Though it is a very basic example but it will help you get a clearer picture of how important ‘A GOAL’ plays in the lives of each one of us: Once in school a six-year-old was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up and the kid replied, “Successful!”

While his fellow mates replied, “A doctor, lawyer or maybe a teacher”

The one, who said that he wanted to be successful, was clear from the very start that there is no point running after something in life that is unachievable for him or doing something in life which he is not happy about.

“YOUR GOAL IN LIFE SHOULD BE THE FREEDOM OF LIVING LIFE ON YOUR OWN TERMS.”

This is where our role comes into action: We specialize in turning your vague dreams into tangible reality. Our job is to make you realize your purpose on a regular basis.

IT IS A DREAM UNTIL YOU WRITE IT DOWN AND MAKE IT A GOAL IN LIFE.

Goals in life are either

  1.  LONG TERM OR
  2.  SHORT TERM:

v  Long-term goals may engage results that will take a longer period of time, be it months or years together. These goals comprise of targets such as scoring exam, aspiring to become a doctor in life of probably buy a car of your choice, reading newspapers on a daily basis or completing a team-work project.

v  A short-term goal is a specific objective a person has to try to master before being able to achieve the long-term goal.  These goals focus on specific targets and are usually achievable in a short span of time. These goals comprise of targets such as scoring well in a class-test, reading newspapers on a daily basis or completing a team-work project which subsequently lead to your long term goals.

Before you write down your goals you need to keep these considerations in mind:

  • A well-written goal must be measurable.
  • A well-written goal must pass The Dead Man Rule.
  • A well-written goal should be achieved within a time-period

Also the goals should fit the following characteristics:

SPECIFIC

Your goal should be specific and substantial

MEASURABLE

The goal and its benefits should be measureable and meaningful

ACHIEVABLE

The goal should be attainable keeping the effort and commitment in mind, which should cover all areas of life.

REALISTIC

The goal should be realistic and responsible.

TIMELY

The goal should be time bound and deadline based.

Once you formulate the goals, the next step is to prepare a vision board followed by a dream book.
